Sita & Gerrit

As I have been working on these photos over the last couple of weeks, I’ve recognized over and over what makes a photograph good, in my mind–EMOTION. By far, my most favorite photos to shoot are those that drip with emotion and in which the subject(s) just let it loose. And I’m talking the genuine, authentic stuff that you just can’t help but let out of your being. Let me tell you, these guys, their family and extended community brought it big time. The whole thing was beautiful and the buckets of rain that poured on us all did nothing more than increase the love and laughter. And so, because of that, I have way too many photos to share…just couldn’t help myself…stunning dress, Sita!

there were lots of great moments between these two, but this was one of my favorite shots of the whole dayyep, show it off, girlWe were SO grateful for this beautiful greenhouse and SO thankful to Wildwood Farms for letting us have full reign of the space.
It saved our bacon, big time!About a half hour or so before the ceremony started this incredible rainbow appeared–so fantastic!Best guest photo, EVER (they happen to be dear friends of our, too!)And then the toasts…oh, the toasts. What did y’all pay those folks because, seriously, all-star toast line-up. And then…the dancing…I always joke that the hardest part of photographing weddings is the dancing because I just want to get out there and dance with everyone. The bride’s dad did give me permission–I may have done a little behind the lens dancing. 😉 Everyone was having too much fun, I just couldn’t help myself!Sita and Gerrit, it was truly a magical day. You two are beautiful inside and out! Thanks so much for trusting us to document your day!
