They say you can’t pick your family, but if we were picking, we’d pick these two, no question. Lucky us, they ARE family and dear, dear friends.

We enjoyed a brisk, damp January morning together capturing them in the last weeks before Baby Macy makes his/her appearance. They brought their own energy and ideas to the shoot and we had fun tromping around the wet field just across the street from their house. We have to give a shout out to our sidekick, Sage, who was along for the ride and was a grinning machine, encouraging some genuine laughter and smiles from her aunt and uncle.

The last nine months has been a joyous ride and I’d say they are ready to meet this coming baby–as are we! You guys have prepared so well and Baby Macy is going to be stoked to have you two as parents.

Mr. O.K. | Kids & Families

Being a kid is rough in the Macy family as there is always a camera in your face, excluding eating times. But, seriously, you can’t help yourself when you have little guys like O.K. running/crawling around the house. You just want to capture it all! We were so delighted that John’s sister, brother-in-law, and son made their second trip of the year out to Oregon from Philadelphia over the Christmas holiday. Although it started and ended with complications (to put it gently), there were a few days in the middle that were really nice. While they were in town, we took the three out for a mini-session. Oregon Family Time | kids & families

We were so fortunate to have so much family time this summer! John’s sister and family traveled from Philadelphia to Oregon for some family time and to introduce their new son to much of the family. It was so great to have them local for a few days and even get to vacation with them at the coast and spend some much appreciated down time together. We’re so thankful for how many times we have been able to see them in the first year of little O.K.’s life… wait until you see photos from Christmas!

We just couldn’t get enough of this kid–he was probably overwhelmed with all of the aunts, uncles, and grandparents who had cameras in his face for the better part of his visit, but none of us could help ourselves!
